Three brothers' tempe chips MSME is one of the tempe producing MSMEs in Koto Baru. This MSME plans to develop the tempe chips market from business to business to business to consumer and it is important to understand how feasible business development is and what strategy should be chosen for developing the business. This study was conducted to analyze three determining factors for business development, namely financial, technical and technological aspects, human resources and marketing mix. This study shows that business development carried out by MSMEs is feasible. This can be seen from the R/C ratio, which is 1.5, which means that the business is feasible to run. Furthermore, MSMEs have access to raw materials and are supported by adequate facilities. Production equipment also meets food safety standards so that it can add more value to the product. This business development also has the potential to be achieved because it can be done with labor from tempe production. The survey in this study shows that the characteristics of tempeh chips are acceptable to respondents and this makes it easier for MSMEs to increase their market. Apart from that, this business development needs to be supported by the right strategy including forecasting demand and prices of raw materials; increase product awareness, market penetration, human resource capacity; and improving market networks.
