Abstract

The 1998 New Order and Reform Regime was an event that led to the decline of a nation's outlook on life and the abandonment of the policy of socializing the values of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. This led to radicalization and terrorism of radical groups. Society is in a difficult position. It has left the old values, but the new order values have not yet taken effect. The euphoria of freedom and reform has given birth to a new understanding that is not always in line with the values of the life of the nation and state. One of the new understandings is the emergence of religious groups with radical ideologies that encourage violent acts of extremism and terrorism. Based on the description of this condition, the main problem is that the current implementation of Pancasila values in the face of radicalism and terrorism has not been optimal. This has an impact on the ideological resilience of the population which in turn has an impact on national security. Pancasila, the basic vision of the Indonesian state, needs to be understood correctly and completely.
