Dissemination of MGMP Development and Empowerment: Development of Wenning Inquiry-Based Science (Chemistry) Learning

This dissemination was an implementation of in-service task 2 of the MGMP Training, Development and Empowerment: Inquiry-Based Science Learning Development carried out by PPPPTK IPA Bandung. The aimed of the activity was to improve participants' skills regarding the concept of inquiry and its levels, scientific practices and intellectual skills from each level of inquiry, assessment in inquiry learning, and the application of wenning inquiry-based science (chemistry) learning, as well as improving the skills of core teachers (facilitators) in facilitating colleagues at MGMP. The participants were members of the Tebo Regency High School Chemistry MGMP community, totaling 15 participants. This activity was carried out for 40 JP with 4 meetings. The methods used were face to face and assignments. Activities start from the opening by the head of MKKS Tebo, pretest, provision of material by the facilitator (reinforcement of science material on selected thermochemical topics and strengthening of pedagogical material), review of inquiry learning unit studies, simulations by participants, draft learning sequence, follow-up plans for IBL participants, posttest, and closing. The results showed that the average was good where the assessment was directly from PPPPTK IPA Bandung via online applications for pretest and posttest; The level of participant satisfaction was measured using a smile face instrument which was carried out during the activity and the average was satisfactory; and the availability of inquiry-based learning units for other chemistry materials.
