PKM Providing Rice to the Pila Tarok Community Kuranji Padang District Affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic

Abstract

Community Service, which in this case is the provision of rice to people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in Pila Tarok, Kuranji Padang District, aims to care for others in health emergencies, to make donations to alleviate problems from an economic perspective for community members affected by the pandemic, as well as helping community members to fulfill their basic needs in the form of rice. The activity method used is to directly provide rice assistance to the target audience, namely residents who live in the Pila Tarok area, Kuranji District, Padang City who are affected by the pandemic. The result of this service activity is that the recipients of rice aid are members of the community around the Pila Tarok area, Pasar Ambacang Village, Kuranji District, Padang City. The team selects potential beneficiaries. The criteria for recipients of this rice assistance include residents of Kuranji Subdistrict who were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, experiencing economic difficulties, such as housewives, people who work odd jobs, have no fixed income, and become the backbone of the family. The recipients, totaling 25 people, consist of mothers and fathers who live in the vicinity of Pila Tarok, Kuranji District, Padang City. The team informed each beneficiary of the type of assistance, location and time of collection of assistance. During the implementation of the rice assistance activities, recipients received one sack of rice each weighing 10 kg.
