Abstract

In-house training (IHT) activities regarding the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka is one of Program Sekolah Penggerak (PSP) which facilitates teachers to gain in-depth understanding before implementing Kurikulum Merdeka in schools. The services aimed to increase participants’ (teachers’) understanding of the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka. This IHT activity was carried out by the supervisor of SMAN 3 Tebo from Jambi Province and a learning committee consisting of the principal and teachers as facilitators. The activity participants were all teachers at SMAN 3 Tebo, totaling 45 participants. This activity was carried out in 6 meetings, namely on 7-13 July 2023 with face-to-face implementation techniques and assignments. The activity began with an opening by the head of SMAN 3 Tebo; provision of material by the facilitator (PSP orientation, IHT implementation orientation, pretest, kumer learning reflection, and understanding of CP); assessment and learning (compiling TP, ATP); creating teaching modules designing the Project for Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5); preparing operational curriculum for educational units; strategy and implementation of BK services; preparation for implementing Kurikulum Merdeka; reflection; posttest; and closing. Evaluation of teacher abilities was assessed by the learning committee via Google Form for pretest and posttest. The results obtained were an increase in teacher understanding in implementing Kurikulum Merdeka as shown by the increase in pretest and posttest results from 58 to 87.
