Peningkatan Karakter Wirausaha Mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Padang dengan Pelatihan Smart Entrepreneur Model (SEM)
Abstract
Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha (PMW) which have been won by Padang State University students have been implemented only with the orientation of fulfilling report responsibilities only. The number of PMW participants who have successfully maintained and developed their businesses is very low. Entrepreneurship that is carried out by students is only limited to interest, students lack the superior character of an entrepreneur and the ability to carry out business activities that still needs to be improved. For this reason, the Smart Entrepreneur Model (SEM) entrepreneurship training program has been carried out using a model syntax with 9 phases ranging from planning to activity evaluation. The target of the activity is 20 PMW participants who represent the business unit. Data analysis using percentage technique, data obtained by distributing research instruments in the form of questionnaires. The results of this PKM activity showed an increase in the average character of the pretest with an average of 67% in the medium category, and the average postest result of 83% with the high category. The results of the evaluation of the application of the model in this PKM recommend that training can be continued with improvements in the way participants are recruited to further disseminate the PKM program targets in the future.
