Training on the Use of Mendeley Applications for Citing and Making Bibliography in Making Scientific Work

Abstract

This PKM activity was carried out online to PKM participants considering that the pandemic conditions that hit were still not in a conducive state, therefore the PKM implementation was carried out by utilizing one of the online meeting media. This activity was carried out in 2020 together with a team of lecturers, namely Devi Edriani et al (2020). The theme of this PKM activity itself is to remember that the need for the use of the Mendeley application for lecturers and students is still very low, this is due to a lack of understanding in the operation of the application. Low understanding in the use of this application often makes the citation of reading sources not in accordance with the correct citation rules, so that of course causes the writings produced by lecturers and students not to have good quality in terms of citing reading sources. In the implementation of this PKM there were about 10 participants who joined this training, they were lecturers and students who had difficulty in quoting readings using the Mandeley application. After the implementation of this PKM, it was seen that there was a significant development of understanding from the PKM participants, this could be seen from the results of the citations they carried out in accordance with the training material provided. Furthermore, the application training provided may be able to assist writers in choosing the right reading sources and producing quality written works. separated by commas between words.
